Merge beezly/fix/configurable-pipe-timeout with conflict resolution
in pipe.go (PipeOption/WithReadTimeout functional options pattern).

Fix pipe_test.go: update 4 pipeHalf() calls to pass readTimeout arg
matching the new signature.
